2014 is almost over and this is my 100th post. It’s time for reflection. I think most people who are doing something with games make a ‘Best of’ list, but I don’t think I’ve played enough to make a good list. You’ll find no list here, sorry.
2014 was a good year for me with a lot of changes. My boss told me at the beginning of the year that I earned a permanent position at the company. That lead me to another life changing project: building my own house. We’re still on track for that and I’ve signed for a mortgage. It’s all becoming very real.
My blog found a new place as well, here at Princess in a Castle, my own domain. I thought I needed that, to move forward in my creativity. I have full control now and I can change what I want. With the help of my boyfriend I set it up properly and now I’m finding out more things about being a real webmaster. I hope that for next year I’ll finally get into my routine and create more awesome stuff for you to enjoy.
My health is better as well. I feel I have more energy and I need less sleep, which means I have more time for productivity. I had one big project this year and that was to finish my collection of short stories. I’m sad to say it’s not finished yet. I didn’t feel it was good enough so I need a few more edits before I can send out beta reading copies. If you want on that list, leave a comment and you’ll find one in your inbox soon.
When I’m done with my e-book, I’ll finally start to learn how to program and make a prototype for a game. 2015 will be a blast, I’m sure.
How was your year? Did you get the most out of it?
