Night Circus

Night Circus

Night Circus

I’ve set a challenge on GoodReads to read 52 books this year. The first new one I started was Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern. Last year I stumbled upon a game called Fallen London. One of FailBetter Games’ other projects was Night Circus. Both projects are interactive stories based around a card and inventory system. While Fallen London works better as a game-like interactive story, Night Circus’ story held me captive. I knew there was a book, so I stopped playing. I kept getting cards I just used or couldn’t use, so it would’ve taken me a lot of waiting time before I knew the whole story. I went to London for some Christmas shopping and of course I went to Waterstones. That’s where I found the book.

Free Dota 2

Dota 2

I still have 11 Dota 2 invites to give away. Steam has restricted it to be available for anyone but the chinese region. I’m sorry. If you don’t have Dota 2 already and you do want an invite, add me on Steam (nickname Endalia) or leave a comment with your steam profile or nickname. Steam is required to play Dota 2. I’m sorry again, but it’s Valve rules. If you already have a copy and want a second, for whatever reason, I have to disappoint you. Steam will say you already have a copy and I can’t give you another.

New Gaming Rig

After years of waiting I finally have my own high-end gaming rig! Finally! The only thing I’m still missing is a good monitor and maybe a better gaming keyboard. This monitor is the HP one we got with the pc my parents bought eight years ago, if not longer. I’ve been using my five-year old Asus laptop to game on or I borrow my parents pc for all the graphical heavy games such as Guild Wars 2 and Diablo 3. I tried to keep my gaming to a minimum using their system, because of complaints. Last year, before Diablo 3 came out, I told my mom that I’d buy my first, very own pc with my first paycheck. So I did, and now I have it.

Guild Wars 2 Community Power

Jormag's Corruption

One of the reasons why I like and still continue to play Guild Wars and Guild Wars 2 is because of the community. I know for sure that I could never have come this far without the GW-wiki. So it didn’t surprise me one bit when fan-made sites appeared on the GW2 forums. Read on for some very useful links :) If you have more to add, feel free to leave a comment so I can add it into the list.

Magical Diary

Magical Diary

Anyone who uses Steam regularly knows they have a big end of the year sale in December. This year the sale is quite small, compared to last years, when there were 1600 games with discount varying from 10% to 75%. I usually wait for this sale to make big purchases. I’ve bought a few games already and my favorite of the season is Magical Diary. It’s an indie visual novel game by Hanako Games.

2012 in review

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2012 annual report for my blog. I think it’s awesome they wrote a script for it amd they allow it to easily share with our readerd. So, here’s the summary! I thank you all who come here regularly amd who pass on my blogs to other people. :)

Here’s an excerpt:

600 people reached the top of Mt. Everest in 2012. This blog got about 6,100 views in 2012. If every person who reached the top of Mt. Everest viewed this blog, it would have taken 10 years to get that many views.
