My friend (Boringz) uploaded two videos of jumping puzzles. I thought I’d share it with you :) Both are in a high level area, Ruins of Orr.
These are the screenshots of the vistas in the Black Citadel, the capital of the Charr. One thing that I noticed was that it’s build next to the Ruins of Rin, the previous capital before the Charr overran it in Guild Wars Prophecies. It’s sad to see that so little is left of it. But, to be honest, I think the Black Citadel is the ugliest city in the whole game. Sure, it matches with the Charr culture, but it looks like a junkyard. Not really my favorite place to be.
These are all the vistas in Rata Sum, the Asura capital. Rata Sum shows that science and nature can look good together! When you’re walking around Rata Sum, be sure not to fall. I fell down once and received 22k falling damage :(

Metrica Province is the starting area of the Asura.
Guild Wars 2 is officially released august 28th, but pre-purchasers have a three-day head start and started playing yesterday. Although ArenaNet has been testing quite a lot, open betas and stress tests, the unofficial launch didn’t go well. I’ve heard a lot of people who compared it to the Diablo 3 last may.
A swimming Jackalope
The servers were planned to go live around 9:00 CET, it was possible they might open them early so they could fix some issues before everyone would storm the gates. It didn’t help. When I checked twitter around eight, shortly after I woke up, there were already messages about connectivity issues, black screens and tutorial bugs. Error 42 became the new error 37.
The “cannot connect”-error wasn’t the only launch problem. There are still features of the game that don’t work as they should. The parties, guild system and the Black Lion Trading system aren’t working as they should. ArenaNet has given themselves an opportunity to find and fix these problems before the real launch. I really hope that when the rest of the world with normal orders, everyone can still play without too much problems. It would be very bad if the connection issues return tomorrow.

You know those moments when you think of something genius. Most of such moments happen in the shower, on the toilet or just walking. Diablo 3 is now ever-present in the back of my mind, especially during those moments. Yesterday morning I thought of a Witch Doctor Summoner build.
As you’ve noticed I haven’t posted anything for a while. Real life is what happened. My internet connection prevented me from playing Diablo 3 like a mad man. I mean, playing a hardcore barbarian with 450+ ping is a bit too hardcore for me.
That’s why I finished another play through of Dragon Age: Origins. This time the complete edition, so with all the DLC. But I’ve only finished the original campaign and the DLCÂ quests there. I did manage to marry Alistair though (the main reason for playing again). I will (try to) finish the other campaigns and Awakenings soon.
Between my conquest of Ferelden, I celebrated my birthday, read a lot of books, went on a short vacation, rearranged my room and painted the walls. So I’ve been busy :)
The yearly Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) has started! The Microsoft Press Conference has ended just a few minutes ago and they’ve shown some new trailers and new technologies. The most innovative technology has to be Xbox SmartGlass.
